Company Milestones
- April, 1999 — Johnny Cash records the Tim O'Connell composition "A Singer of Songs."
- September, 2003 — "A Singer of Songs" is used as the primary background music in a video played at Johnny Cash's funeral.
- November, 2003 — The box set Cash Unearthed is released. Rick Rubin, Cash's producer, calls "A Singer of Songs" "one of the most touching and emotional of all of the songs" on the entire five-CD box set. Unearthed is later nominated for a Grammy award in the Best Historical Album category.
- March, 2004 — Tall Dark Ranger Music signs an administration agreement for "A Singer of Songs" with Bug Music, Inc.
- August, 2004 — "A Singer of Songs" is used as background music for a documentary film called Preachers shown on RTE Television in Ireland.
- October, 2005 — Tim O'Connell receives an ASCAPLUS Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
- November, 2005 — USA Today names "A Singer of Songs" one of the key songs of Johnny Cash's career. The song is also used to introduce an episode of Fresh Air from WHYY, hosted by Terry Gross and broadcast on National Public Radio.
- January, 2006 — Tim's song "Borrowed Band Blues" is used as the opening and closing song for the political talk radio show Liberadio on WRVU-FM, Nashville, Tennessee.
- April, 2006 — Basin Street Records releases Theresa Andersson's recording of "A Singer of Songs."
- September, 2006 — Tim O'Connell receives his second ASCAPLUS Award.
